If you’ve tried multiple antidepressants without relief, you’re not alone — and there’s hope. Spravato® (esketamine) is an FDA-approved medication for adults with treatment-resistant depression (TRD) or major depressive disorder (MDD) with suicidal thoughts or behaviors.

What to Expect During Treatment

Administration: Spravato® is a nasal spray that you self-administer in our office under medical supervision.
Observation: You’ll relax in a private, comfortable space for about 2 hours while our clinical team monitors you for safety and side effects.
After Treatment: Because Spravato® can cause temporary drowsiness or dizziness, you’ll need a responsible adult to drive you home after each session. Most patients can resume normal activities the next day.

Common Side Effects

Most side effects are temporary and mild. They can include:

Feeling sleepy or “spaced out”
Dizziness or lightheadedness
Nausea
Temporary increase in blood pressure

Your Treatment Schedule

Spravato® therapy occurs in two phases:

Induction Phase (Weeks 1–4): Twice-weekly treatments
Maintenance Phase (Weeks 5+): Once-weekly or every other week, depending on your progress
